Your benefits come from Florida law, not from State Farm

Worth understanding before you talk to anyone. The size of your PIP benefit is fixed by statute and it is identical across every carrier writing auto policies in Florida:

• Up to $10,000 in combined medical and disability benefits, if a qualified provider determines you had an emergency medical condition.
• $2,500 if no emergency medical condition is determined.
• PIP pays 80% of reasonable, medically necessary expenses within that limit.
• It pays regardless of fault — including when the crash was your fault.
• You must be seen within 14 days. How that deadline works.

So the variable that actually decides what your care is worth isn't which carrier is on your card. It's whether anyone performs the evaluation that moves you from $2,500 to $10,000 — and not every provider is permitted to perform it. A chiropractic clinic with no medical provider on staff cannot make that determination, no matter how much treatment it gives you.

What we handle, and what the deadline means for us

We bill State Farm directly. You don't pay us and chase reimbursement.

Florida also puts a clock on us: a provider has 35 days from treating you to get the bill to your insurer, extendable to 75 if we give notice of treatment in the first 21. If a provider misses that window, the statute says the injured party is not liable and cannot be billed for those charges — and any agreement saying otherwise is unenforceable. Keeping your claim on schedule is our problem, not yours.

What to bring

• Your State Farm claim number, if you've opened one. If you haven't, come anyway — we'll help you sort it out.
• Your policy number or insurance card.
• The crash report or exchange-of-information slip, if you have it.
• Photo ID.

Missing most of that? Come in anyway. Paperwork can be recovered. The 14-day deadline cannot.

Two things that can end a claim with any carrier

Your insurer can require you to attend a medical examination of its choosing, and it can require you to answer questions under oath. Skipping the examination is the fastest way to lose everything — under the statute, an unreasonable refusal or failure to appear means the carrier is no longer liable for further benefits at all.
